Save Our Railway: Our party is committed to keeping and improving public transport. It is in the interest of both our environment and also workers that we have increasingly improved public transport. Many workers depend on the railway line and our branch feels that this sell off to private interest may make way for the further sell off of public transport in Newcastle.
Nationalise Banks: Our party and party branch in Newcastle believe that the banks should be publicly owned. Only by public ownership of the banks are workers to receive the full benefit of their hard earned money, without increasing fees and risks based on failing economy and the insecurity of the stock market. Why should the tax payers bail out failed private industry, it could happen here!
